I went to Antioch park and as I was walking around the "lake" they have there I noticed across the way, sitting on a bench, a young hippie mother and her stark naked daughter. Apparently the child refuses to wear clothes. Ever. I asked if she minded if I took a couple of shots of her daughter and she didn't mind one bit. This is one of the things I love most about photography- the right place at the right time.

I wish we were all this un-self-conscious about our bodies. I guess it takes the genius mind of a 2 year old to remind us of our flaws.

That was a good day.

1) let her daughter strut around naked in a park and

we should all be so wise as to appreciate and indulge such innocent, pure existence... there was a time when many of us could live like that little girl... may the whole of creative consciousness someday return there, as individuals and sublimated into mutual mind. Thank you, on behalf of my family and my tribe, for catching a poster child of the ideologies to which we aspire.
